Applicant Terms & Conditions



By submitting an application to the Idle Hands Incubation Award, you agree to the following:

Eligibility



You confirm that:
  • You meet stated eligibility requirements
  • All submitted information is accurate
  • You have the right to submit all materials provided


Use of Application Materials



Idle Hands may:
  • Review submitted materials internally
  • Share materials with the selection committee
  • Archive materials for internal records

Idle Hands will not publicly share non-selected applications.


Intellectual Property



You retain full ownership of all intellectual property in your submitted materials and any work produced during the award period.

Idle Hands does not claim ownership of your work.

Documentation & Promotion



If selected, you grant Idle Hands non-exclusive permission to:
  • Document your work and exhibition
  • Use images and video for promotional purposes
  • Credit you in all public materials

Award Structure



You acknowledge that:
  • The award is a private gift, not employment
  • Funds are unrestricted
  • Idle Hands is not a 501(c)(3) organization
  • You are responsible for any tax implications

Right to Modify or Cancel



Idle Hands reserves the right to:
  • Modify timelines
  • Change selection committee composition
  • Cancel or postpone cycles if necessary

Applicants will be notified of material changes.

Conflict of Interest Policy



Idle Hands is committed to a fair and transparent selection process.

Selection committee members are required to disclose any personal or professional relationships with applicants. In cases of potential conflict of interest, committee members must recuse themselves from review, discussion, and voting related to that applicant.

Idle Hands is not responsible for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to equipment or personal property incurred during participation in the Idle Hands Incubation Award, including use of the Idle Hands exhibition space.

Artists participate at their own risk and are responsible for insuring their own equipment, materials, and personal property.

Governing Law



These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
